The Bachelor of Science (Honours) Biomedical Engineering is a broad-based degree programme which focuses on the application of engineering techniques in biological sciences and medicine. This degree programme equips graduates with skills that are vital and indispensable to the biomedical engineering and healthcare industry.
Over 570 students have graduated with a BSc (Hons) Biomedical Engineering from SUSS. Graduates from the programme have the flexibility and proficiency to take up roles in various fields, such as in medical devices, pharmaceutical, healthcare services and industry. Students can pursue Biomedical Engineering as a single subject or in combination with a minor.
Minor in Paramedicine and Emergency Response.
Graduates from the Paramedicine and Emergency Response Minor are armed with additional emergency health related knowledge and policy development skills. Specialised paramedicine and emergency management courses are taken from the Justice Institute of British Columbia, Canada’s leading public safety educator in areas of justice and public safety. Graduates from this degree programme are expected to think, act and speak with confidence in any chosen emergency management related career.
